Are you inspired, ambitious and bursting with self-initiative?  Ready for your next challenge as a Class Teacher?

We are seeking applications from successful teachers with strong and varied experiences from across the primary phase year groups, including EYFS.  We are recruiting to fill possible part-time and/or full-time positions on either the Main Scale or Upper Pay Scale (depending on experience) to commence their posts on 1st September 2018.  We are looking for candidates keen to develop themselves professionally as well as share their knowledge and experiences of successful teaching with others.  In particular, we expect candidates to be highly committed to getting the very best learning outcomes for all children across the school as well as the children in their class.

You will be a confident person fuelled with a resilient drive for drawing out the best in others.  Your self-initiative and dedication to primary teaching demonstrates that you have:

  • high expectations in the pursuit of the very best standards of learning
  • commitment to providing irresistible learning opportunities for all children
  • clear leadership of your classroom, and any areas of responsibility, ensuring there is the deep-rooted belief by all, that ‘we can succeed.’

You will have the interpersonal skills to model empathy, respect, trust, courage, and gratitude and your mindset will promote greatness across our school.  Alongside this, you will have positive relationships with all so that the impact of your work is far-reaching, innovative and inclusive.

We are a great school with a fantastic wider community who are fully supportive and encouraging of all that we want to achieve for the children and families within our community.  We are a founding member of the St John the Baptist Catholic Multi Academy Trust (with schools across Norfolk and north Suffolk) and are proud of our wider school community both locally and beyond.   This includes our international partnerships with schools in The Gambia, Uganda and France.  As a Catholic school, we seek applications from those who respect our ethos and vision and welcome applications from teachers from any faith or none.

Professionals who come to work for us here at St Mary and St Peter are rewarded not only by the joys of nurturing a rich learning journey for our amazing children, but also with opportunities for continuing professional development bespoke to their own personal needs.  We expect all Teachers to hold leadership responsibilities beyond that within their class teacher role, from after their NQT year.  Our Leadership CPD includes local and MAT led networks both formal and informal and performance management systems help us to ensure CPD develops every Teacher on their individual career path.
