Despite the rain, year 4 remained in high spirits as we ventured to How Hill to learn more about local habitats as part of our learning in science.

We took part in a nature walk where we explored the dry woodland and identified (and even hugged a few) different tree species, that included oak, pine and beech trees. We also investigated insect habitats under logs and tracked Chinese water deer and the native red deer.

In addition to the nature walk, we learned more about the importance of balanced food chains and did some dyke dipping to find out more about pond habitats.
