Today the children were visited by Nicky Johnson, who delivered a workshop about keeping safe around parked cars. We learnt about being aware of the signs of moving vehicles, such as listening for car engines and seeing drivers approaching a car. The children then looked at the different lights on a car and talked about what they mean. They learnt that once they see a white reverse light, the car will be moving backwards and that they must never stand behind a car at this time. The children all listened beautifully and remembered lots of the information when asked afterwards.
